SmartShape Designs Halloween Surprise for Local Boy

Liam Waldron is many things: a five year old boy, a bone cancer fighter, and a car fanatic.

His choice ride? A Honda Odyssey minivan with built-in vacuum cleaner, a feature that puts the vehicle head and shoulders above the rest in little Liam's eyes.

In the spirit of Halloween, friends of Liam's family at SmartShape went to work on a special project to give Liam his dream car 11 years before his driver's license, a fully functional child-size Odyssey.

It took the team less than 3 weeks to sketch out the proportions and build the Liam-sized vehicle from electric car parts and urethane foam cut, sanded, shaped and painted into the minivan's signature look. And, yes, it came with a fully functional vacuum cleaner.

"If we could make him smile and have a good time on Halloween and anytime he wakes up and looks at that thing and it makes him happy, that really makes us happy," SmartShape president Mike Maczuzak said.

Learn more about Liam's ride and see it's unveil to the family in this WKYC story.
